What the hell is wrong with you? If every Greyhound and Amtrak route between Seattle and Bellingham is always sold out all the time, WHY DON’T YOU ADD MORE ROUTES? Don’t you want people to ride you instead of driving their own cars?
And, dear Greyhound, why did your website work just fine the first time I tried ordering tickets there and never again? Do mice nibble your code?
Dear Obama administration, please make high speed rail between Seattle and Bellingham one of your top infrastructure priorities. Thank you.
I think high speed rail between Eugene and Vancouver, BC is one of the routes being considered, but who knows if or when …
Wow, that would be awesome. Fingers crossed.
Well, not the whole time. I can’t really type with my fingers crossed.
Here’s an official page describing the routes being considered. One big problem for the Pacific Northwest corridor is that it’s isolated from every other corridor.
It’s interesting you should say that. Because Amtrak just added a second Seattle/Vancouver train, um… two days ago, with a stop in Bellingham along the way. Full schedule here, with the new train being #516 northbound, and #513 southbound.
Mind you, it’s currently being touted as only for the run-up to Vancouver’s 2010 Winter Olympics. But that may well change depending on what experience turns out to be.
